Our Mission

Faith in Action — On the Water,
On the Land,
Around the World

Expedition Genesis Ministry was founded on a simple conviction: the Gospel transforms lives — and the Church should lead the way in practical, compassionate community development. We don't just preach about second chances and community. We build them.

From repurposing old houseboats into halfway homes for people leaving incarceration, to acquiring land for intentional Christian communities, to putting Spanish Bibles in the hands of families who have never owned one — every initiative is grounded in Scripture and driven by action.

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction..."

James 1:27

Reformed Harbors

Old houseboats. New beginnings. We acquire aging or decommissioned houseboats and renovate them into safe, structured halfway homes for men and women leaving incarceration — anchored in biblical community, accountability, and a pathway to stability.

🚤

Houseboat Acquisition

We source aging houseboats that need new purpose. The maritime setting provides a structured, isolated environment ideal for recovery — removed from old environments and surrounded by intentional community.

Phase 1 — Active
🔨

Renovation & Rebuild

Each houseboat is gutted and rebuilt to code as a functional halfway home — private sleeping quarters, shared community space, chapel area, and a functional kitchen. Documented on YouTube as a ministry series.

Phase 2 — In Progress
🙏

Reentry & Restoration

Residents receive a structured program built around biblical community, job placement support, accountability partnerships, and discipleship. The goal: a genuine second chance rooted in faith, not just transitional housing.

Phase 3 — Launching

Reformed Harbors — Middle Tennessee

We're launching our first houseboat in Middle Tennessee with plans to expand across the Southeast. Your gift funds acquisition, renovation materials, and program operations.

The Data That Demands Action

The Cost of Reformation

This is not a charity story. This is a math problem — and the numbers are undeniable. The current system of incarceration, release, and homelessness cycling costs taxpayers billions while producing nothing. Reformed Harbors offers a measurably better path.

Christian Outposts

We are actively seeking land in Middle Tennessee to establish the first Expedition Genesis Outpost — an intentional, affordable Christian community where believers live out discipleship, practice sustainable stewardship, and serve as a base for local and global mission.

These outposts are not compounds — they're neighborhoods. Places where families can afford to live, grow in faith together, and serve as living testimonies of God's provision and community.

Spanish Bible Outreach

71% of Hispanic Americans believe the Bible is God's Word — but most have never owned a readable copy in their own language. The most distributed Spanish Bible is as difficult to read as the old King James Version.

We're changing that — distributing modern, accessible Spanish Bibles to families in Williamson County and through mission trips to Monclova, Mexico. Every Bible comes with a reading guide and a personal connection to our ministry.
